The World Within ………

Nobody reads a mystery to get to the middle. They read it to get to the end. If it’s a letdown, they won’t buy anymore. The first page sells that book. The last page sells your next book

The Cost Factor June 30, 2007

Filed under: Technology — shyamsweth @ 8:02 pm

A week ago i had been to Chennai and there i had gone to richie street. This is known for the electronic goods the shops here sell. There i had enquired the rates of graphic cards and 1GB DDR RAM and found that the rates differed by around 2000 rupees from those in Trichy. I mean to say rates are higher in trichy. A person could purchase a system around 3000 to 5000 rupees cheaper in chennai.

By the way rates here at Trichy itself differ from one shop to another. The rates here too differ by a whooping 2000 rupees! While the same IGB RAM costs around 2900 in one shop and cost 5000 in the other.I dont know what the hell goes on in there!

My Love…. June 30, 2007

Filed under: Romantic Fiction — shyamsweth @ 7:11 pm

Now that there’s no blog without such a story(I suppose) I thought why not me too write one.Lets start with how i came in contact with her.

I was on my vacation in Norway last summer(Not Actually) .I was skiing and was on my way down to the end when i saw a figure coming behind suddenly flying over me.I thought he was definitely going to crash on the tree in front of me.But he was prudent enough to judge and landed just in front of it. ooF!!

Just then i went close to en quire how he was feeling with his experience. It was then that i realized from that female voice that he was a she.It was when both of us went in and got ready to move to our retiring places that she offered me a lift in her private chopper as she was staying in the same ice hotel where i was staying.

I was also astonished to the fact that her room was adjacent to that of mine.Somehow (I didn’t know how!) she managed to get my mobile number and the same night called me(I thought from the next room), and told me that she was at the airport ready to go. I thought why so soon!!

That was really hot but i hadn’t thought of a burger in such a way. My castles of air crash landed!!Not even cheese???Was it even a burger???

Deception Point June 27, 2007

Now, that i had talked some rubbish why should i leave out these paper bounded compilations called books.

I read this book by Dan Brown for about 4 days!(The story was so interesting that it tempted me move ahead with what i stopped). The story starts without a clue what the story is going to be(Actually diverts away from the story line).

The President Of The United States had been intimated by the NASA director about a mysterious meteorite in a glacier in the north pole.A team of experts(not associated with NASA)  examine it and find it to be genuine.

Later an NRO member suspects some scandal in this discovery and drives the other non associated experts through a battle of life and death in search of a proof.

Fine, i don’t get why only after the arrival of Rachael Sexton do these civilian scientists(who have already been doubting NASA), think of alternatives to how the so called meteriote could have come???

In all the phenomena, that are examined to prove it to be a meteorite, it shows slight deviations which should have arised doubt, instead more proved to be a meteorite. At the same time why should both the Senator as well as the President be ebarrased at the end.

In The College… June 27, 2007

Filed under: In The College — shyamsweth @ 6:22 pm

On the very first day of the college we should have looked like either school kids or a police battalion. Actually all the first years from the hostel after breakfast, had to line up outside the hostel and then move to our college building(which was a Kilometer away) in line with security gaurds on our either side.On our way to the institute,we had to cross the sophomers hostel(For gods sake there was no other way out).We could hear hell a lot of howling from the windows that face the road.Into the institute building we were directed to our respected classes by our seniors. The most miserable thing of all was that our section (Of the four total sections) was seperated from the other three sections by a single floor(They were on the 2nd and we on the 3rd).You know what all we missed( Girls and friends, if any).As a matter of fact we were unaware of the girls in our year till our 2nd sem.

Then did we realize that we would have been happy not knowing these “so called” girls. The very first classes started with lectures on the subject( The teacher didn’t mind to introduce himself or let us break the ice).It was our first basic electronics class. Then came our worst nightmare(we didn’t know t’was coming) our first maths class. The professor was our nghtmare not the subject. His english was the greatest comedy in the history of literature. One of his punchlines”I rotate the garden when i am empty”.More of it ‘ll be coming on!I still remember him not teaching anything except theory in our maths classes till the end of the semester.

But thank god there was a silver lining in the dark cloud.A lady professor was also taking the same topic to another class. She taught us some other topic.People were so afraid to bunk her class so as to attend them! She had the class in her command. To keep you waiting let me continue this at a later stage!!!

Classic and Contemporary June 24, 2007

Now that it has been made compulsory for the two wheeler riders to wear helmets, will the same be applicable for the cyclist and our indian pedestrians with whom the tax paying riders share the road!In my opnion the cyclists not wearing helmets is like letting them injured but not the tax payers in case of an accident.

Cars… June 24, 2007

Filed under: Carland — shyamsweth @ 10:01 am

Cars being one of my fantasies i get attracted every new model from every company when they come on road, more to know their names than anything else(like interiors, look, style, etc;) .

I’m so obssesed with cars that even while i drive a two wheeler when i see a new car i get my attention diverted towards the car without anything on my own vehicle.

Yesterday i saw the first honda civic on road since its release. Fine it had wide body, flush interiors and the dashboard was wow!! i would say. The air conditioner control panel was very much complex, in the sense, it had hell a lot of options.

The Helmet Saga…. June 20, 2007

Filed under: Its our country — shyamsweth @ 10:29 pm

This is how the reason behind it seems. I suppose somebody representing the helmet manufacturing companies had requested the Madras High Court to enact such a law so that they make profit in a short time(They were worried that their outlets here in Tamil Nadu, did not meet their targets!!). Now that the helmets were sold out people dont bother about wearing them (They are proud to have given business to these companies!) Wow!We are Indians!!
